World Chain is a new blockchain designed for humans.
Verified humans will get priority blockspace over bots and an allowance of gas for casual transactions. Developers will be able to reach millions of these real users around the world, with apps focused on utility for everyday life.
The network will be deeply integrated with the Worldcoin Protocol to accelerate growth and leverage World ID’s Proof of Personhood. It will also be secured by Ethereum as an L2 and engineered for scalability alongside the Superchain ecosystem.
Importantly, it will be permissionless, open source, and intended to ultimately be independently governed by the community.
World Chain is expected to launch later this summer.
Worldcoin is Working
Over 10 million people in 160 countries have created a compatible wallet + world id, and 5 million have verified it with an orb. Continuing to onboard people at this rate will take big leaps in blockchain technology.

World Chain Offers Anonymous Address Verification
Much like the rest of the internet, bad bots like airdrop farmers worsen many of the problems blockchains face today. People on World Chain will have the option to anonymously verify their addresses as human with World ID. Fully decoupled from their ID, simply like a blue checkmark.
A Blockchain for Humans
As a permissionless network, everyone on World Chain can submit transactions, but verified humans will get prioritized blockspace. Verified addresses will also get an allowance of some free gas for casual transactions.
Reach Millions of Onchain Users
For developers, World Chain will be a place to reach millions of onchain users around the world. Most have verified World IDs and wld to use from their biweekly claims (where the law allows). Developers can get worldcoin community grants and Superchain retroactive public goods funding.
World Chain is Joining the Superchain
For World Chain to succeed, it must be built, owned, and governed by all of humanity. From day one, it will be open source, permissionless, and Ethereum aligned. It will also be built with the Superchain ecosystem, joining Optimism, Base, Zora and others.
