Once I entered the Ethereum ecosystem in 2019, I found these incredible NFT gaming communities and became excited about WEB3 communities as the future of work. WHY ARE YOU STILL EXCITED ABOUT WEB3? I am excited about WEB3 because a multidimensional culture has emerged and I don't see that anywhere else on the web. I believe the combination of creativity, culture, and new technologies is the primordial soup of something special. WHAT SPECIFIC AREA OF THE SPACE ARE YOU MOST INTERESTED IN RIGHT NOW? I'm most interested in the intersection of creative work and onchain technologies. I love the interdisciplinary groups of artists, technologists, and subject matter experts that have formed and are creating new things together.

Clarity 2.0 Launch

In Clarity 2.0, we doubled-down on empowering contributor squads by making it possible to have multiple independent groups in a single Clarity workspace. Our goal was to create tools that would empower sub-groups within communities to fully embrace bottoms-up coordination. I was responsible for the product design, messaging, user research, and cross team coordination to make the launch successful.

Clarity Essentials

May 2022–Jun 2022

Clarity Essentials brought together a cohort of 18 contributors from 12 communities. It was a co-created experience where we worked together to make sense of the contributor lifecycle and how to implement Clarity to facilitate it. Caryn Tan and I co-designed the curriculum, and we facilitated 8 live sessions over 4 weeks.

Y Combinator • Summer ‘21

Eni Jaupi and I were accepted into Y Combinator with our product Clarity. During the program, we launched out of beta, and we used the funding to bring on some new team members.

Clarity 1.0

Aug 2019–May 2021

In the early days of building Clarity, Eni and I were responsible for the coding. I handled all the design work and also helped code core functionality. Clarity started as a side project, but I decided to go full-time when the pandemic sent us all to work from home in March 2020. We were funding the company using the savings I had collected from my independent consultancy over the previous three years. Just as I was running out of money, we were accepted into Y Combinator in March 2021—a year after we had decided to go full-time.

Clarity 1.0 ProductHunt Launch

While we were in YC, we launched Clarity 1.0 on ProductHunt. Despite having a relatively small following at the time, we accrued over 900 upvotes. I was responsible for making all the materials, and recruiting support for our launch
